Status Awarded

Abstract The objective of this project is to develop novel, advanced and economically-affordable alkaline anion exchange membranes which will enable water electrolysis operation under high pH conditions. The project effort will focus on preparing durable and economically-affordable alkaline hydroxide conducting materials and demonstrating the performance and durability in membrane-based water system. The LANL team will collaborate with the HydroGen Consortium to leverage available the consortium resource nodes in computation (LBNL), characterization (NREL) and benchmarking (SNL).
